( CHAOTIC GOOD JAZZ )
BRINGING THE CHAOS TO LIFE IN BRAND & WEB
Chaotic Good Jazz is the creative project of Alex Lester, a Portland-based jazz curator, DJ, and writer behind a weekly Substack on modern jazz. The brand needed to feel as alive and unpredictable as the music he champions. Bold, layered, a little chaotic, and completely intentional.

THE WORK
Designing for yourself is always the hardest, and this was no exception for Alex (my partner), who usually builds websites for others. For Chaotic Good Jazz, I stepped in to translate his vision into a cohesive branded experience. Using his existing logo, animations, color palette, and fonts, I pulled all the pieces into a system that feels both improvisational and unmistakably CGJ.
